Enterprise Television- Credit Direct Opens New Corporate Head Office in Lagos
Nigeria’s top unsecured loan company, Credit Direct has been commended by the founder of FCMB, Otunba Michael Subomi Balogun, for being committed to customers beyond lending, in the 11 years of its dynamic existence in Nigeria’s financial sector.
The Olori Omo-Oba of Ijebuland and founder of the FCMB, at the opening of the magnificent new headquarters building of Credit Direct, on Isaac John Street, Ikeja G.R.A, Lagos, noted that lending remains a risky business and urged the FCMB subsidiary to sustain their professionalism.
Otunba Balogun’s commendations were relayed by the CEO of FCMB Group and Chairman of Credit Direct, Mr. Ladi Balogun: “Our Grand Founder told me that lending is a risky business and that we must be gradual in our approach, by continuing to add more value to customers beyond lending.”
The FCMB Group boss, reiterated the commitment of Credit Direct led by its management team in improving the lives of its over 300,000 customers while sustaining growth in a stable manner.
Balogun said Credit Direct, in looking for more ways to provide financial support for people, has leveraged on technology, which has transformed the global financial sector and created myriads of opportunities within and outside the country. “Credit Direct is a part of the transformation and we want our impact to inspire others to create more value-adding businesses in Nigeria.”
He added that the new edifice was equipped with a recreational facility among many of its unique features, to boost the youthful energy of its workforce and culture.
Balogun put down the success of Credit Direct to the management team, urging them they hold on to the mantra that one is never too young to read or too old to learn – “We will keep learning.”
In his thank you remarks, Mr. Akinwande Ademosu, CEO of Credit Direct, noted that the company has so far, been able to disburse over N150 billion in loans to customers and can now conveniently disburse up to N3 billion monthly. This is having upwardly reviewed the loan limit to N10 million.
“Our story changed the face of the financial services sector, the people we are servicing today are those not well served by the conventional financial services sector. We believe so much in the future that has been created – from just giving out loans to giving our customers peace of mind,” he said.
He noted that so many people have been a part of the successful journey of the company and praised the staff for never compromising on their integrity, urging all stakeholders to firmly support the company on its onward march towards a future that is very bright.
