Ibukun Awosika is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Chair Centre Group (comprising of The Chair Centre Limited, Sokoa Chair Centre Limited, Furniture Manufacturers Mart Limited, and TCC Systems and Services Limited). She currently serves as the Chairman, Board of Directors of First Bank of Nigeria. She also serves on a number of other corporate and non-profit boards.
During her National Youth Service Corps (NSYC) service year, Ibukun Awosika served as an Audit Trainee at Akintola Williams & Co. She further worked at Alibert Nigeria Limited as Showroom Manager. As a lady passionate about self employment, in 1989, she formed Quebees Limited which evolved into the Chair Centre and later Sokoa Chair Centre. This was as a result of the merger with Sokoa SA and Guaranty Trust Bank in 2004.
